Mike A.
I started hunting in 1976. My first year of deer hunting was 1979. My uncle and my grandfather were great influences on meat hunting and fishing. My grandparents had a cabin on the Mississippi River, so I grew up a river rat. After graduating from college in 1986, I joined the military. I spent the next six years serving Uncle Sam and this great nation.
I married my best friend in 2003. Between the two of us, we have nine grandchildren with another one on the way and five children. I have filmed off and on for a few television shows. Shot competitive archery on the national and state level. Winning the state championship twice in open class, harvesting many Pope and Youngs along the way.
I am a child of God and proud of it. I started in outfitting business from scratch in 2012. Working in an archery shop for 13 years taught me a lot about the archery industry.
Alfonso R.
Alfonso was born and currently resides in metro Detroit Michigan. He didn’t begin hunting until his late teens, but his passion for whitetails and the outdoors grew quickly. Now an avid hunter and sportsman, Alfonso became interested in helping others fulfill their dream at harvesting whitetail deer.
He became associated with RFO in 2018, where he began running the social media platforms and is now a licensed guide. When Alfonso’s not in the woods chasing whitetails, he works as a full-time firefighter for the city of Detroit. He has been married for 7 years and has a 10 month old son.
Bill O.
One requirement for this type of work that can easily be overlooked is a genuine enjoyment of your fellow man. After all, guiding is very much a people game. Your clients want to enjoy themselves in the outdoors, and a good part of that enjoyment should come from your guide. Pleasant, professional, personality, positive outlook, and ability to lighten potentially dull or disappointing moments with the right words.
My goal is to make your hunt the best experience you will have.
Drew O.
I am a college student who has a passion for the outdoors. In the fall of 2018, I was lucky enough to harvest the buck of a lifetime with my bow.
I am a student of the trade and love every second of it. Mike and my Dad are teaching me the ways of RFO by allowing me to be an apprentice. I am looking forward to serving clients and providing great customer service to each and every hunter.
Shane V.
I am a hard working maintenance man full-time. I ride my Harley every chance that I get. I grew up along the Mississippi River, with a love for the outdoors.
I am learning more and more every day about whitetail hunting and enjoy the challenge of guiding against the senses of the whitetails.
ACCOMMODATIONS
At RFO Outfitters, we strive to provide a great whitetail hunting experience. Each scheduled hunt can accommodate up to seventeen(17) hunters. With nine(9)bedrooms, four(4) full baths, two(2) half-baths and a large common area, we hope that you will find our accommodations inviting and comfortable. With many updates in 2021, we strive to make your stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible.

$750 fine for buck that is less than 140” OR less than 4.5 years old
*Deposit Policy
A non-refundable deposit of 1/3 ($1000/$1100/$900)of total is required to book a hunt. Second third of the total fee is due April 1st. The remaining balance is due by September 1st.

#Cancellation Policy
Any cancellation made less than ten (10) days before the scheduled hunt will forfeit ALL monies paid. Cancellations made before this deadline may move the hunt to another year (any fee increase will need to be paid in addition to fees already received). Deposit and any other payments are NON-REFUNDABLE.
Beginning with hunts for 2024, HUNTERS WITH SCHEDULED HUNTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO GO TO WWW.GOTHUNTS.COM. THIS SITE PROVIDES TRAVEL INSURANCE FOR HUNTERS
+Meals
We provide a quick breakfast that consist of breakfast bars, cereal and fruits. We have everything that you will need to pack your own bag lunch to take to the stand. The evening meal is catered. It consists of a meat, potato, two additional vegetables, salad, rolls and dessert. We provide bottles of water. If you want anything else, please bring it with you. Alcohol is permitted in moderation.
